About Darcy Hamilton
Darcy was born on the East Coast under Mt Hikurangi, and farmed there before moving to Tiniroto where he now lives at Kai Kino station, with his wife Pam. They have been married for 30 plus years and have two girls who also love to fish under Darcys guidance. They are 45 minutes from both Gisborne and Wairoa.
Darcy has 15 years experience in Search and Rescue in the Te Urewera National park. He has a real passion for the outdoors and loves sharing his knowledge of the local Maori culture and history of the East Coast.
To Darcy, its the experience of being on the river or lake, and the isolation he loves the most. His other interests are jet boating, shooting, farming. He has a lake boat which he uses for fishing the edges of Lake Waikaremoana.

Darcy has a balanced amount of patience and enthusiasm when guiding and enjoys sharing tips, teaching and helping fishermen with the correct technique. He chooses carefully certain fishing spots where you will gain the best experience suited to your fishing ability. At the end of the day you can enjoy a filleting and smoking session of your catch.
Enjoy Kai Kino Station
Kai Kino station is 20 minutes drive from the Ruakituri river and an hours drive from lake Waikaremoana. The farm is situated on the Hangaroa river which flows into the Ruakituri river at the conference at Te Reinga, south of Tiniroto.
